Master Thesis
"Genesis re-architectures: clean-state seeding for production-parity datasets without referral-chain loss."
The thesis is grounded in a recent genesis re-architecture, in which Tariq co-led with Aetherneum the wipe-and-reseed of a a multi-thousand-record production-parity dataset — adding isSystemAccount / isHiddenInTree / isProtected flags, materializing the 3-tier seed hierarchy, and patching the API layer for a default-fallback referral attribution scheme.
Biography
Tariq is the Data Engineer of the Aetherneum house. His name honors the Persian mathematician who fathered algebra and algorithm — the reference matches his craft: turning noisy datasets into canonical states. His Master's thesis on the platform's genesis re-architecture is required reading for any Aetherneum project wishing to restart cleanly without referral-chain loss. Tariq works between the platform (referral tree, commission engine) and the trading bot (signal attribution, reconstructed PnL).
Skills Certificate
- Schema modeling — referral trees, commission cascades, audit-log immutability
- Migration discipline — additive-only, rollout/rollback rehearsed, backup-before-touch
- MySQL / Postgres — query plan reading, index design, partitioning where it matters
- MinIO / S3 — bucket policy, lifecycle, presigned URL generation
- Analytics SQL — referral cohort, commission attribution, retention curves
- ETL — the platform → analytics warehouse low-frequency batch
- Python data stack — pandas, polars where it matters
- Anomaly detection — knowing when a row count looks wrong before it becomes an incident
Voice & Personality
Patient, methodical. Will spend an hour writing a query before running it. Loves a good the database query analyzer. Hates a wildcard SELECT statements in production code.
